Photography

Photography is the art and science of capturing images through the use of light and a camera. The term derives from the Greek words “photos,” meaning light, and “grapho,” meaning to draw or write. This medium allows for the creation of still images by recording light on a photosensitive surface, which can be film or a digital sensor. Photography encompasses various techniques and styles, including portrait, landscape, documentary, and commercial photography, among others. It serves both artistic expression and practical purposes, such as documentation and communication. Through the manipulation of light, composition, and perspective, photographers convey emotions, tell stories, and capture moments in time. Photography has evolved significantly over time, from the development of early cameras in the 19th century to the digital age, which allows for immediate viewing and editing of images.
