Mentorship

Mentorship is a developmental relationship in which a more experienced or knowledgeable individual, known as the mentor, provides guidance, support, and encouragement to a less experienced individual, known as the mentee or protégé. This relationship is often characterized by the mentor sharing insights, offering advice, helping the mentee set and achieve goals, and fostering personal and professional growth. Mentorship can occur in various contexts, including educational settings, workplaces, and professional organizations, and can involve formal arrangements or informal relationships. The primary aim of mentorship is to promote the mentee’s development by leveraging the mentor’s expertise and experiences, ultimately helping the mentee navigate challenges and enhance their skills in a particular field or aspect of life.
