Connectivity is creeping ever deeper into our lives and business operations, while business success increasingly depends on network-enabled product and service differentiation. 5G is a key factor for advances in digital transformation.  It will play a key role for businesses that want to address the growing customer demand for low-latency and very-high bandwidth product features and service experiences.

 

Dan is a Principle Analyst at Forrester Research and has been in the ICT sector for more than 15 years. At Forrester Dan serves CIOs and digital strategy leaders by guiding them through the challenges of digital transformation. Prior to joining Forrester, Dan worked at Deutsche Telekom’s enterprise division, T-Systems, as a strategic marketing consultant. Before Deutsche Telekom, Dan worked as an EMEA consulting director for telecommunications and networking at the research firm IDC and as a research director at Ovum. Dan holds an M.Sc. in economics and B.Sc. in economics from the London School of Economics and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), both of which are part of the University of London.

The Waldwirtschaft team invites us again to the Little American Oktoberfest. The festivities start at 12 noon and continue throughout the day until evening.

With the organizational support of Dave Dowdy, Linda Jo Rizzo is again the Master of Ceremonies and leads the country-western, rock and pop music entertainment.

At 1330 we will kick off the competition at the 2019 AGBC Mini Golf Tournament.  It’s an anyone-can-play event.  Yes, you too can “win!” Contestants will “vie” to take home the truly stunning and multi-purpose AGBC 2018 Mini Golf trophy.

Please come on out and join us. Invite your friends who may be interested in meeting with us. The Waldwirtschaft is located in the Georg-Kalb-Str. 3, 82049 München-Pullach. There are parking facilities, but you can also come out on your bicycle or with the S7-Bahn (exit Isartalbahnhof). It’s a quick 10-minute walk from the S-Bahn exit to the Waldwirtschaft.

With the organizational support of the AGBC’s Dave Dowdy, Linda Jo Rizzo (also an AGBC member) is the Master of Ceremonies and leads the country-western, rock and pop music entertainment with Mark Coonradt and the Texas Bandits.  The event will also feature bull-riding (on the mechanical monster), lasso-ing, horseshoes and Cowboy boot tossing, square dancing, can-can girls, and a wild-west show. For the kids there will be Kinderschmink and magic tricks.

At 1330 we will kick off the competition at the 2018 AGBC Mini Golf Tournament.  It’s an anyone-can-play event.  Yes, you too can “win!” Contestants will “vie” to take home the truly stunning and multi-purpose AGBC 2018 Mini Golf trophy.

Around 1600 the Waldwirtschaft will treat us to a keg of free beer during a special keg-opening ceremony.  You can also purchase Kobe-beef hamburgers (for a specially reduced price), US steaks and a full assortment of delicious Biergarten food from the kiosks.

Our reserved tables in the beer garden are facing the band and located under the white umbrellas.  Since this is a beer garden, we will not reserve special tables for the individual groups.  If you want to sit together with your group, you are encouraged to arrive early enough to save places.

AGBC Members Peter Barkhurst and Wolfgang Hellmanzik are  organizing a great golfing day on Saturday, 2nd June at the beautiful Tegernbbach Golf Club in Tegernbach (near Mittelstetten, about 45 km northwest of Munich).  

The day will start off with two daytime golf events, essentially running in parallel:

  1. Golf Tournament – 18 holes which will take about 4-5 hours from the first tee.  Teams will be composed of groups (flights) of 4. Course layout appears below.
  2. Starters Course (Schnupper Kurs) for Beginning golfers – Over 3-4 hours, the Tegernbach golf pro will help beginners learn the basics, then conduct a mini tournament on the putting green.  

The action on the links will be followed by:

  1. A relaxing and revitalizing round of drinks at the clubhouse.
  2. An early evening American/Bavarian BBQ.
